Internal guides at the bottom of the fly section securely interlock the heavy duty I beam rails. Gravity spring locks operate smoothly. Shoe rests flat or is held in spur position with Shu-Lok feature. Easy separation, rope is held in place with the quick clip that eliminates loose ends knots and tangles.

This one replaced a much less substantial 20' ladder which I tried after the cast was off my left leg. That old ladder moved around and flexed when I used it which of course made me quite uncomfortable after my accident. This one makes me feel confident that it is going to hold together. It is a bit heavier than the old one but I don't have to use it often so I don't mind.
To address some of the other comments you might see here, it's heavy, yes, but there's no way around having a 32 foot lader be easy for one pserson to manage (but I can, with some difficulty). I bought mine at Lowe's, and their price (it was on sale at the time) was literally about half of what the price is here today. To get it home, I stuck it in a Honda Accord...it was next to the windshield in front, and sticking quite a ways out the back, but I got it home! Also, if you get a long ladder, think of where you will store it. It's too long for my garage, so I bought a couple of things something like this Stanley Hardware 751054 Ladder Hanger to hang it on my deck. The hangers went right into the rim joist of the deck. And you might want to buy a lock and a couple feet of chain too.
Kudos to Amazon. I paid $247 shipped for it which was cheaper than local box stores and I did not have to pay for or arrange shipping. I ordered it 09/12 via free shipping and it arrived 09/22. Amazon tracking info was right on for delivery date and shipper called my 2 days prior to let me know that it would arrive on 09/22 between 8:00 AM and noon. They delivered it at 8:00 AM sharp and called that morning to remind of delivery. Ladder arrived looking new!
