One issue is that it is a bit trickier to empty certain things into the waste bin, such as coffee grounds from a french press. With a step can you have two hands free, but with this can one hand is needed to push back the door at the top. Sometimes we make a bit of a mess because of this. We knew that this would be less convenient, but frankly it's not a big deal.
The other wish that I have is for some way to secure the bag to the metal bin liner. A large rubber band would solve this problem but for $350 you'd think this problem would have been addressed.
