Only downside is it seems a little louder than the higher end treadmills, but not by much if any.
The treadmill is fairly compact and light for this sort of product. This means that it is very easy to move around. Set-up was also quite easy. I did it myself but having another set of hands would have been nice.
This is a follow-up. We have been using the product for the past 4 months quite regularly. The treadmill has required almost no maintenance. Twice I've tighted up the tread by turning two screws. (There are some nice how-to Youtube videos on this.) and once had to tighten up the bolts securing the raised control panel. Generally kids run on it for a mile while adults run on it between 1 and 1.5 miles before switching to the stationary bike. It is much gentler on my knees than the road which helps for the aging athlete. Running has really helped my wind, and temporarily I can still beat my kids at soccer. Frankly given the extent to which the whole family has used it and continue to do so, I feel like I'm already in the black on this product and continue to strongly recommend it.
I'm impressed with how smooth it runs and the quiet motor. One bit of warning however - when you first start it up, the belt has a bit of fast start (for a second or two) then slows to the rate at which you've set it to run. Just beware of that - it can catch you off guard. Get around this by standing on the sides, starting it up, then starting your walk.
I do highly recommend this treadmill.
The only small issue was in assembling the base to the frame. The pieces do not line up properly but my husband figured out how to get them to bolt together securely. Definitely need two people to put it together.
