Once I got it out of the box, it took me about 30 minutes to assemble.
I like the way it folds up to move or store in a much smaller space.
The unit arrived in a severely beat-up box, with a broken foot rail. The manufacturer was very good about shipping out a new rail quickly and easily - easy to reach, special holiday hours, native English speakers, little hassle to document.
I'm just over 200 lbs and find that this works fine for me. There is some sound change as you walk indicating the load you put on the motor/belt, but I can't imagine any treadmill having zero reaction to my weight loading it. It does not seem like it's struggling at all.
It has 10 speed settings. 4 is a brisk walk. 10 is a full-out run for me. I don't recommend 10 as the treadmill is a little on the smaller side, and you'll have to be accurate with your feet to not end up falling. It gets a little scary! But at a more, uh, sensible pace...it has plenty of room. I can push my feet off the back if I intentional extend my gait behind me, but it isn't a normal thing to do.
It's also not hard to fold and wheel somewhere else for storage, though the width has trouble going through a narrow bedroom door.
We wanted something good for a first treadmill to see how serious we are about using it. This fit the bill perfectly.
Oh yeah. It advertises some sort of shock absorption, but I don't see it...
Key Features: It has a few workout programs on it, it can supposedly read your heart rate (though it's buggy - I'm pretty sure my heart rate isn't 25bpm...sidenote: maybe I'm a vampire and I didn't know it?), and it has manual incline - which, coincidentally, is the only thing I would change but it wasn't worth an extra $200-$600+ more to have it in a different model for me.
The treadmill folds up but it still takes up a little bit of space, so keep that in mind - I have it in my garage so it doesn't bother me, but if it were in my living room we might have a problem.
It was an easy setup. The box came kind of dinged up and it was REALLY heavy (bless you, FedEx guy) but the treadmill parts were packaged well and have no damage at all. I could have set it up myself, but my husband was handy so we got it done in about 20 minutes and it required only basic tools and a little elbow grease.
Anyway, long story short - if you need a treadmill for walking or running occasionally and you don't need a lot of features and you don't want to spend a bunch of money, this treadmill is for you. If you need a little more from a treadmill, such as electronic incline, a diverse range of workout programs, a built in fan or MP3 player, a foot massager, and a hot post-workout epsom salt bath... this isn't the treadmill for you (but let me know if you find one that has all that, please?).
It was easy to assemble but I had a teenager holding it in the necessary positions to do so. Alone would have been tricky because it needs to be leaned in certain ways to attach some pieces (though it could be done). It is sturdy and we use it a lot. And wow! The price! Great product comparable, in my opinion, to much more expensive treadmills! I would definitely recommend it!!!
