This is an odd work indeed. On the positive side, it provides UFO researchers with valuable information on the many WVA sightings, both historical and comtemporary, with first-hand investigations. The negatives, however, are significant: less than tight writing style, inappropriate forays (by the author) into amateur
hypnosis of percepients of UFOs, and, most troubling of all, an ending which has seemingly no connection with the rest of the book, whereby Mr. Teets goes on a tirade attacking (especially) Dr. John Mack and his work with "abductees" ,
a subject not mentioned in the body of the work.
As if this was not bad enough, Mr. Teets' leaves us with this pearl of wisdom...to "pray"

I am maybe a little biased being from WV myself but I can relate to all the characters in this book, I have known a lot of down home folks just like this and also remember a lot of the places referred to. People sometimes get the idea WV is back woods,hillbilly,uneducated.etc. but for the most part these are God fearing good honest people who might talk funny and live and do things a little different but that's just how they are. This is a well written book and has a lot of good human stories. There is defiantly something going on out there and I am quite sure these folks have witnessed some of it. Read this book.
