Obviously, like others mention, "Paint It Black" is great. It's my favorite, and I also like the main theme. But the whole soundtrack is good.
I like Djawadi's Game of Thrones, too--and yes, there are similarities--certain signature harmonies and structure that both Westworld and GoT have... but that's all good. Listen to other composers' works--they all do that.
Djawadi is someone whose work I'd not experienced before, but it's danged good.
But I was both delighted and enthralled by the pieces chosen/composed for this series.
The tantalizing variations on many of the songs caused me to pay more attention to them, if not simply to "name that tune."
My only disappointment about this particular album is that it is only a selection of music from the show.
I was sad to find music that I loved to be completely absent in this collection.
My biggest let down?
Where's the Chopin!?!
