Lindsay McKay's "Wet Bum" is a remarkable achievement on every conceivable level. It explores the awkwardness and uncertainty of adolescence with arresting authenticity, while providing an unflinching portrait of life in a nursing home. The young heroine is caught between these two worlds, and she is played by Julia Sarah Stone in an extraordinary performance. MacKay's direction is masterfully nuanced and solidifies her status as a filmmaker of major promise.

this is a really well-wrought movie
I actually bought it after watching it on an airplane trip and finding it on Air Canada's channel of Canadian films

this is a director to watch
and the lead actress is nothing short of extraordinary
