About the Author
Top customer reviews
No book on animals, politics, or animal politics, ought to start off with "Deleuze and Guattari". It isn't edgy or innovative, it doesn't expand anyone's knowledge, it just smacks of the author's preoccupations.
This was an excuse to mix up postmodernism and evolutionary biology - a "project" with the transparent agenda of blunting the sharp edges of the latter.
Postmodernists are obsessed with the words 'play' and 'creativity', I suppose because their writings are mostly playfully creative crap, but instead of acknowledging this, they rove about in the sciences like lost dogs occasionally lifting their legs to show that they've been there, that the field has now been claimed by the self-appointed apostles of the non-linear, or whatever they like to say.
Guarda e passa, as Virgil said to Dante.
