My daughter send me a YouTube video of the book What Do You Do With An Idea? being read aloud to children. I loved the book so much that I immediately looked it up on Amazon, realized there were other books in the series, and bought a set of all three books - which I gave to my daughter for Christmas. She is a school teacher and excited to be able to read these to her children.
First and foremost, these books are larger than you’d expect. That’s a good thing. They are quite beautiful. The stories are incredibly inspirational. The illustrations are lovely.
What Do You Do With An Idea? - In this book, the youngster has an idea and does not know what to do with it. Initially, he hides it from the world. But he keeps coming back to it and it grows bigger and bigger. He starts to tell people about his idea. Eventually, his idea goes out into the world and is everywhere. … We’ve seen this play out in reality over and over, whether with an idea like recycling (it had to start somewhere, with one person) or a book or movie. It all starts with an idea which one person bravely embraces, grows, and shares with the world.
What Do You Do With A Chance? - In this book, the youngster has a chance, but he is afraid to take it and it bypasses him forever. He has regrets, and the next time a chance comes his way, he takes it. One opportunity embraced leads to other chances coming his way, until they are everywhere, his life enriched by his own bravery.
What Do You Do With A Problem? - In this book, the youngster learns that problems are opportunities, even if just to learn something about yourself.
I highly recommend all three books.
TL;DR Heartwarming gift (w/ book) for a child you want to see grow up & have confidence within.
Overall this is soft and sturdy and a great complement to the book.
