Only 3.6 percent of men will remain faithful to their women. At least according to the controversial "Smith and Doe," two guys who wish to remain anonymous except for revealing that they work in the motion-picture industry and live in Southern California. A sampling of their "unspoken truths" aimed at turning women into "Smith and Doe-educated women":
--"If a man is given the opportunity to engage in sexual relations with an attractive female, with no fear of getting caught and little risk of transmitted diseases, he will do so. Always. Without fail. There are no exceptions."
--"Man spends his life in one of two basic states: loaded or unloaded."
--"A prostitute is the perfect one-nighter."
--"Men are attracted to beautiful young women.... If you saw your man at the office when you are not present, you would become physically ill."
Also included are detailed guidelines for monitoring your man's financial activities (see third item, above), "surefire methods" for getting your man to confess to cheating (past or present), and a 75-question fidelity test ("Does your man play his answering machine messages in front of you?"). They conclude with a "condensed guide to training your man," a more sexually focused takeoff on the ideas in How to Make Your Man Behave in 21 Days or Less Using the Secrets of Professional Dog Trainers. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.
From Publishers Weekly
The authors, who, the publisher reveals, work in the motion-picture industry, have assumed pseudonyms for this work, and readers will quickly understand why. This is their chief message: "The only reason your man is with you is because at this moment... he... believes... he simply can't do any better." Their basic conviction, quoting from Wilhelm Reich, is that the male of the species is a sexual animal who seeks "complete and repeated genital gratification." They see him as a gun, either loaded or unloaded according to whether he is hoping to have an orgasm or has just had one; women, they maintain, can trust a man in the latter state, but otherwise they cannot. The authors point out that the real danger zones for a woman are her husband's office, his "business trips" and bachelor parties, about which he can be expected to deny every occurrence if questioned. After presenting a test for fidelity, Smith and Doe offer a few words of advice for women on winning the battle of the sexes. Females who find the content equally frivolous might recall that many a true word is spoken in jest. Yet the generalizations are so sweeping and exaggerated here as to lead many readers to believe that the authors are talking only about themselves.

Women...you may never look at your man the same way again. Men... run away! Since man is essentially a sexual animal, anything is possible. So, ladies, look out, you've been warned. Authors Smith and Doe demonstrate beyond a reasonable doubt that if a man -- one who may be married -- one whose wife may even be in a hospital, giving birth to their first child -- has the opportunity to engage in sexual relations with an attractive female (who is not his wife or girlfriend), with NO FEAR OF GETTING CAUGHT AND NO RISK OF SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED DISEASES, he will do so. Always. Without fail. There are no exceptions. This and many other revelations to open the eyes of every woman (and ignite the fears of every man) can be found in "WHAT MEN DON'T WANT WOMEN TO KNOW." Using all the modern science at their disposal, Smith and Doe deeply probe the essence of the male animal to discover that man has only two basic states of being: "Loaded" and "Unloaded" (and we're not talking liquor here). When a man is in the "unloaded" state he is happy, fulfilled and loyal. When he's in said "loaded" state, well, ladies beware -- your man will look to "unload" whenever and wherever the opportunity arises -- and quite likely with whomever of the female persuasion. This ongoing internal battle of "loaded" versus "unloaded" underlies all the behavioral patterns of the male sexual animal. But ladies, it's not really a helpless cause. Smith and Doe have discovered through painstaking research that 3.6% of all men are completely faithful to their women. You can always shut your eyes and ears and pretend your man is one of the golden 3.6%. Guys, this is your warning call. If you're smart, you'll buy every last copy before your wives and girlfriends get their hands on it and become wise to the secret-busting revelations of Smith and Doe.
Had to put it down a few times, I felt a little ill.
But Damn, I Love men, so...
For me, this book was an eye opener, I now know what goes on inside men's head and this can be a very powerful. I remember standing in a long ticket line and used the time to read a chapter in the book. A guy standing next to me glimpsed at the book title and blushed instantly. At that moment I knew I was about to enter the forbidden men territory and was not disappointed.
I hope you would enjoy this read as much as I did.
