They also have a large section on an ideal pregnancy diet. I read this part early in pregnancy when nausea was ruling my life, but it feels just as ridiculous now that that’s passed. You would need to be massively organized and meticulous to make this thing work, and it would never allow for any freedom in your schedule. Again, it feels like they’re encouraging pregnant women to just give up their own lives and immediately turn everything to they do over to the baby.
I guess it depends on your pregnancy/parenting philosophies. This was not my cup of tea. I’d recommend Expecting Better by Emily Oster as an alternative that’s steeped in research and leaves a lot of autonomy with the mother instead of offering hard and fast rules.
When it arrived and I placed it on the countertops. She saw it and was EXCITED to read it herself.
Purchased at 19 weeks, and we just hit the 30 week mark. The book has been spot on for virtually every situation you will encounter on this beautiful journey.
