Secondly, I'm in love. I'm like 5 pages in and I'm in love. I knew I would be as I am a nonstop follower of both of her YouTube channels. When she speaks, when she tells a story, when she shares.. she articulates things that you thought were only able to be felt. Emotions and intuitive things. Things you may only recognize subconsciously in passing. She brings it all full circle and acknowledges this as if it were right on the surface. When I hear her stories and talks on her channel, it's just therapeutic to know that someone gets it. All of it. And feels it as deeply as you ever did. And she LIVED through it! She chose to transform. Transformation is possible. She inspires and nurtures you to be your best self. To continue the journey of transformation. Just amazing. I can't put this book down! I'm so excited about it! Buy! Read! Now!
I have followed Esther & her adorable family on their Fouch-O-Matic YouTube channel & that is where I learned of her book. I had become more interested in their impetus for their off-grid and highly intentional move. The book bridges gaps (for me) and expresses a thoughtful and contemplative posture. In a society where students are never taught to critically think, she offers much to chew on. Some of her positions I do not share, but appreciate what we DO have in common. In today's world, with such division, I think extending a hand in Christian fellowship can only help us find some common ground.
And if I pursue a life of less "connectivity" but more "intentionality" what greater gifts might I gain?
