By: June Foster
What God Knew is the third book in The Almond Tree series . I did not read the first two book in the series , but I did not have any problems following the story or the characters. This is my first to read by June Foster, but hopefully it will not be my last . Foster story is well written. A Christian Doctor that saves the lives of premature babies and a nurse who is devoted to her job , but her faith is very weak. Can two people who don’t share the same faith and are of a difference race have a life together? What will their families say and how will they react?
I was given a copy of this book by the author for my honest review.
Opposites attract. Can those differences create harmony or jangled noise? Tammy Crawford is an independent, career focused geriatrics nurse. Michael Clark is one of the best pediatric specialists at El Camino Hospital. She only has one family member left, he has two siblings and both parents. He's a Christian, she's not. Tammy is Caucasian, Michael is African American. His brother strongly objects to the relationship, while Joella Nielson, Tammy's sister is okay with it. One night Michael gives into physical intimacy with Tammy. He prays and receives God's forgiveness. When he apologizes to Tammy they agree it can't happen again. Why is Tammy making an appointment at a women's clinic? Can Michael convince her that he truly loves her? Foster writes with understanding about relationships between people of different races. She also grasps the danger of a believer being married to a non-believer. The reader will rejoice as Foster brings it all together in the end.
