In this, her second novel, Yvonne Cassidy takes us on a compelling and introspective journey through which any reader will find a bit of themselves. The main character wrestles with some of life's most difficult questions, and does it while displaying all her faults and misunderstandings, questioning her thoughts and actions. Her simple life is anything but, when all the musings inside her head are on full display.
I found myself needing to know what small turn of events would come around the next corner, as the story unfolded from a simple one to one of major implications. A heartfelt and sometimes heart-wrenching story, I came to really care for all the characters, finding bits of me and bits of people I know in them all.
Truly an enjoyable read, and one that will stay with you long after the last page is turned.
