Guy outlines in "What the Plus! Google+ for the rest of us" why that is not a wise approach especially if you are looking to use Google Plus as part of your online communications and marketing plan. He has spent thousands of hours of time investing time in understanding what works in this social networks platform and now has distilled his experience for us all to benefit from in this book.
The ebook has lots of screen shots and links to additional resources and examples - I also recommned that you follow Guy on Google Plus to keep up to date with changes as the platform is constantly changing.
Guy provides advice from how to get started, to how to comment, tips for responding to comments and how to use one of the current popular features, Google Plus hangouts - these are just a few of the chapters that are included in the book.
For a very small investment you can save a lot of time by investing in the book to help you quickly get up to speed with this important and increasingly popular social networking site.
FYI, this is an independent review and I have no financial relationship with Mr Kawasaki
I highly recommend this book for anyone starting out in social media or new to Google+. Or anyone who would like to read an interesting and informative book. And really, how can you beat that price for world-class advice. Seriously. Just buy it.
A few opinions I would like to add (including petty reasons for the skipped star):
This is an action book. Definitely not meant to be read all at once. I did and found it intense. (Am a toddler mommy, so have to read when I can). Read in one go (I know that is how not to use this book), can be overwhelming.
Loved the bullets and action items. So useful. In an afterthought, should have used it to skim instead of complaining and read deeper in my second read.
I felt the guest posts were slightly abrupt. I confess also, that I am clueless on how else to have made it. I loved all the guest posts by the way, especially the G+ for women- so clever.
Who are all these people whose comments Guy would never delete? I felt so clueless and foolish? I am about to Google all of them after this review.
Loved the book. Entertaining and witty while being a sort of DIY book. Besides, it made me realize how stepmotherly I have been treating Google+ and to remedy it right away. Awesome read.

The only knock I have on it is that it is now somewhat dated.
