From the Author
You first saw Gabriella Breckensole in ONLY A DUKE WOULD DARE. She struck me as a more complex character than she let on, but alsoa very compassionate and independent one. I struggled to find the right hero for her, because I knew she was the kind of woman who once she gave her heart, she'd never love again.
Maxwell, the Duke of Pennington appears to be witty, confident fellow when he teases Jules, the Duke of Dandridge in A DIAMOND FOR A DUKE. But Max has a dark side he keeps well hidden. As is often the case, those who jest and joke, frequently do so to mask hurts and betrayal. He is no exception.
Neither can deny their attraction to the other, but circumstances drive what seems to be an insurmountable chasm between them. I truly don't enjoy torturing my heroes and heroines, but the conflict does make for lovely tension.
Within the pages of WHAT WOULD A DUKE DO? I've hinted at other stories soon to come. Pay close attention to the Earl of Scarborough. He'll be part of the next Wicked Earls' Club books releasing in 2019.

Get me the hell out of this coach and out of this book! May have gotten better but I just couldn't give the heroine and the author another chance with this kind of literary torture! I was not gifted with a copy of this book.
Even though I understood the reason the H was seeking revenge, it did keep me from liking him until the end. There is a surprise twist, that I didn't see coming, which added to the drama that was unfolding.
This is a clean story basically, with talk of some body parts (within marriage), and heat level 1 out of 5.
We have no cheating, no cliffhanger, we do get HEA, romance and an epilogue 1 month in the future. It does end at the 95% mark and rest are blurbs, for other stories.
I can't improve on the blurb, so just recommending this story. (ljb)
What he hasn't realized is Gabby overheard him telling his friends (The Dukes from books 1 to 3). She will now give him the cut direct and never speak to him again. Not so easy when she is truly attracted to him. She fights off the attraction but when one mishap after another throws them together, Max finally tells Gabby she MUST marry him or he will ruin her family. Gabby is shocked and hurt but agrees. That is until some more secrets come to light that will blow Maxwell out of the water. Will it be too late. He loves Gabby but does him forcing her hand ruin any chance they have?
Another wonderful tale with Cameron's most famous HEA! She can have you from the beginning and just when you think you know what's going to happen, she throws in a Ringer!!!
This wonderful story is full secrets, misunderstandings, and the heartbreak they can cause. As the story unfolds it becomes one of discovery, healing, and acceptance. I love Max and Gabby. If they can work everything out, they will be perfect with each other. All of the characters in this one are compelling. All of them have felt the pain of betrayal, and only they can help each other heal. The best thing about having to climb a mountain is that you eventually get to the top. It won’t be easy, but it will be worth it, especially when it begins with “I could love you.” This is a hold-your-breath romance and a great read. I highly recommend it.
Gabrielle and her twin sister are at a house party, when she hears the Duke of Pennington, holding forth with his friends about recovering his grandmother’s home, wrongfully blackmailed and cheated out of his grandfather’s control, and causing the death of his pregnant grandmother, ruining his father’s life, and consequently, his, growing up in a home without love. Unfortunately, this is the home Gabriella has been living in since she and her sister were orphaned at the age of 5. Her strong interest in the Duke is instantly quelled, replaced with abhorrence. Sure of her grandfather’s honor, she will have nothing more to do with the Duke, who has already devised a plan to marry Gabriella, and make the property her dowry, generously allowing her family to remain in it until their deaths.
Gabriella is infuriated to be forced into a marriage. She informs her grandparents and sister, and all kinds of skeletons start falling out of the closets. Meanwhile, the Duke realizes he will never have a loving wife gained by force. See how all is resolved!

Cameron interweaves yearning musings, tinglingly-alluring looks, soul deep attraction and witty sparring within a veil of bitterness, forced loyalty and revenge as Gabriella and Maxwell are driven to wrestle with the consequences of a recently discovered harrowing past that links their families - despite their own deep desires to nurture their instant magnetic chemistry as it would undoubtedly sparkle and grow into an all consuming love.
The whirlwind of emotions experienced by the pair makes for some very tantalising and highly charged tension that undoubtedly kept me hooked with a mixture of stomach-churning and tingling anticipation.
An addictively alluring read that blends lighthearted, witty and touching moments with pain, desperation and secrets. A tale that you'll want to read and untangle in one sitting! Looking forward to book 5.
This is the first story I've read in this series and I'm keen to read the other stories about the Bon Chance, The Sinful Lords Secret Society.
I would thoroughly recommend this book.
