I was really pleased with this quick novella. If you're looking for a lovely piece of Regency Romance, this is the story for you.

Viola Gardener has a crush on Lord Carrick. The only problem is that he's only noticed her vivacious twin sister, but her father's Twelfth Night ball gives her the opportunity to take the chance of a lifetime...

Lily White Lefevre is a dedicated blogger and romance writer. I came across her work from her blog ([...]) and I was not disappointed. Lefevre has done her research and crafted an excellent story. I can't wait to read her follow up, "Twelfth Night: a Regency novella".

If you're a fan of well written Regency Romance, Lefevre is a new author that you should watch!

If you don't speak, how will he know? The problem of every shy young woman, magnified by a society that frowns on overstepping its careful boundaries. Enjoy watching love overcoming nearly insurmountable obstacles in its day. Don't forget to read its twin, Twelfth Night.

Every few months I'll try reading a romance, usually with unhappy results. The current trend in romance is not my cup of tea, but I can't give up on the genre altogether. Georgette Heyer wrote some of my favorite reads ever. I re-read Jane Austen regularly. There must be some romances by modern authors - somewhere! - that I'll enjoy.

I think I just found one! The characters in WHAT YOU WILL are appealing, but also intelligent and self-aware. I liked the way they responded to their world and how they approached decisions. The way the story unfolded was fun. I'll be reading more by Lily White LeFevre!

July 1, 2015: When I found myself moved to re-read WHAT YOU WILL a mere month after I'd read it the first time, and then enjoyed it every bit as much as the first time through, I realized that the story is more than just good. It's great! And I'm changing my initial 4 stars (what was I thinking) to 5.

SPOILER BELOW (Don't read the spoiler, if you haven't read the book! Really!)

I loved the scene where the two gentlemen exchange costumes. Brilliant!
