I have some much older chargers (circa 2000) from Panasonic, and they still could do a pretty good job on charging all new and older NiMH. Those NiMH that refused to charge in the new charger (blinking) are getting charge fine from my old Panasonic charger. Although, the batteries capacity of holding the charges decreased as they aged. But squeezing more life out of these batteries to me considered more "green" than just toss them away and flush out my "green" bills.
