The term Grey Market refers to goods that are not imported through traditional means. While legally imported, often things like rebates and possibly warranties are not valid, because the distributor/vendor/seller is not officially sanctioned by the manufacturer. This depends on the seller. For example B&H camera out NYC sells grey market goods and will warranty them. This will get "fuzzier" with a recent Supreme court ruling. As in all things, perform some due diligence. If it seems too good to be true, it probably is.
