I was initially drawn to Paul Budniks work after watching the author's youtube videos. I was very pleased to discover that he had published a book relating to, and a continuation and expansion of ideas presented in those videos. I can say without reservation that this book is a seminal work in the philosophy of mind and computer science. I highly recommend this book to all colleagues and students. The arguments and development of ideas are linear, and presented in a way that is accessible to the lay reader. This book is one of the most concise and accessible works of its kind currently available for readers who wish to explore more in-depth the mechanics of the so-called "singularity" and developing trends in the sciences of mathematics and artificial intelligence, machine learning, and so on. If you do not have time to read Hofsteader's Godel Escher Bach then definitely check out Paul Budnik's 'What is and What will Be.'

The book is a hodgepodge of "copied"ideas with no consistent line of reasoning. The author clearly wants to express his erudition by copying all kinds of mathematical reasoning without a clear purpose

This is a useless book that will never become an eyecatcher wathsoever
