From the Back Cover
Nobody seems to talk about sin anymore. People see themselves more as victims of circumstance or evil forces than the actual doers of evil who make others victims. Instead of taking responsibility for their actions, people are likely to say, "I made the wrong choice," "I wasn't true to myself," or "He/she made me do it." All sin is a betrayal of the gift of freedom given to us by our Creator. Sin damages our relationship with God, others, and our true selves. In this booklet, Father Peter Black offers readers clear definitions of the Church's traditional teaching about sin, explains the consequences of sin, and points the way to freedom and healing so that we may become "new creations for God and for one another."
