This is a great book you can share with people of all ages. None of the cartoons are irreverent. None are put-downs to anything related to religion. It is just clean, funny stuff based on Biblical teachings. The web site is fantastic too. Love it!

I was hostessing a large holiday party and was given this book as a Christmas gift and placed it on the coffee table without reading it. In a few minutes everyone was roaring with laughter and passing it around. When I finally paused long enough to read it I could see why they couldn't maintain their composure. It is the most ingenious and hilarious look at scripture I've ever read. I have since purchased the book for 2 pastors and a church secretary to place on their desks to put visitors at ease, brighten a dark day or lift a sad spirit. They too found it hilarious! Thank you Cuyler Black!

Awesome humor and fun pictures... everyone loves it the only problem is that they have to tell you what they just read that was so funny and we have already read the cartoons so its not so much fun the 5th or 100th time around.

Incredibly funny even if you're not religious but know a little bit about the Bible. After moving houses, I just rediscovered this book in a long lost box and laughed as hard as I did the first time I read it.

Cuyler Black looks at Bible stories with an eye to modern culture and a punny and slightly satirical bent, without being disrespectful or offensive -- in itself a remarkable achievement. His comics are also funny, and appropriate for both adults and children. You may find your kids reading the Bible just so they can get the jokes.

It’s difficult to find Christian comic or panel strips that are both humorous and witty. However, I found several of them in WHAT’S THAT FUNNY LOOK ON YOUR FAITH? The book is a collection of Christian comic strip panels drawn by Cuyler Black from his “Inherit the Mirth” websit. I picked this book up as a Christmas gift for a friend, but after skimming through it, I’m probably going to buy a copy for myself, too. Black has done a great job of viewing Biblical stories and Christian traditions through a humorous and witty modern eye. The panel strips in the book are satirical, but are not callous, rude, or offensive. Most of the comics are appropriate for adults and children (though there are some strips that children just won’t understand, yet). WHAT’S THAT FUNNY LOOK ON YOUR FAITH? makes a great gift book, but it’s also a great book just to have lying around for guests and visitors to look at and read.
