This was basically a slapstick movie with no real depth. As a slapstick, one can't expect much and that it delivered. The story line was your standard boys in the hood (unrealistically) outsmart big business guy.
Every character was overplayed and trite and acted in a fairly amateurish manner. with one shining example - William Fichtner playing Detective Alex Tardio was subtle and rather sublime in his ability to keep you guessing about...
Fichtner was by far the best thing about this movie and from the first time I saw it I had hoped beyond hope that Detective Alex Tardio would have his own movie or TV series. No such luck and a great loss.
Watch the movie for low rent slapstick highlighted by Fichtner's appearances. Far too bad that there was no spin off about Tardio. It would have been a hit. Four because of Fichtner, otherwise it would be a two.
