This game is not to be confused with the PSN release of Wheel of Fortune. It's a sequel to the Wii game. They really should have titled this Wheel of Fortune 2. Some people may think it's just the Wii game in a shinier coat of paint. They would be wrong. There are apparently 2,000 brand new puzzles, some may be from the Wii game I am not sure. One of the cool things about the Wii game was you could go to different looking sets to play, such as Hawaii, New York, Washington D.C., etc. if you won them in the bonus round. On top of all of those, there are 5 new sets: The Great Outdooors (looks like a log cabin), Cruise Week (looks like a cruise ship), New Orleans, Halloween (some may find the slight wailing of ghosts and howling of werewolves scary, not sure), and Happy Holidays. Now you can also purchase these sets if you've won a certain amount of money, which is a great addition and speeds up the unlocking considerably.

The biggest addition to this game though is online play! In fact, you can even have another person locally play online with you on the same system, so you're guaranteed a 3 player match! You need 2 controllers to do this, no controller passing. I thought this was a great feature. The online runs fine, with slight button press lag. I did run into an odd glitch though were someone apparently picked a vowel and Pat Sajak said there were 2 of them. However they were not put on the board because in reality it was not true. Strange, but not game breaking. However my wife and I ran into a jerk who didn't even try to play the game and instead used his gestures to assure us he was there, but not playing. Thankfully, the game this time has a timer implemented into everything just for such an occasion.

The presentation is much better than the last game.

I really liked the demo of this game so I purchased the full version. The graphics are fine and the menu navigation is great. It feels very close to the show. However it's big downfall is the balance. No, it's not difficult because of the puzzles. It's difficult because on most of your spins you WILL LAND on Bankruptcy or Lose a turn. I played 4 games in a row and I counted how often, yes I really counted them. Here it is, 4 games on Medium difficulty:

My Player - 12 Bankruptcies and 3 Lose a Turn

Computer Player 1 - 2 Bankruptcies and 1 Lose a Turn

Computer Player 2 - 1 Bankruptcy and 0 Lose a Turn

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? 21 spins and 15 of them land on the worst spot??? Is that even mathematically possible? It's cheap and kills the entertainment value. Where it could have been great, it ends up being a turd.

The game is fun, but then you land on bankruptcy a hundred times and suddenly it isn't so fun anymore. I get to watch the characters steal my puzzle every time, because I bought the vowels and solved over 50% of it only to land on bankrupt and lose it all. This game is easy to get the puzzles on medium level but hard to keep spinning. About every 3 spins is a bankruptcy. I never even see that much on the real show. And then there's the dumb characters. I wish there was an option you could change them out once in a while. Nothing watching them cheer on your losing and robbing you of a puzzle every time. I love wheel of fortune but the logarithms in this are crap.

After reading the other reviews here (and also the Xbox version), I see we aren't the only ones having the bankrupt problem. Landing on bankrupt comes up far more often than is realistically probable and completely ruined the normal setting for me. It doesn't happen on "easy", but then the game itself becomes so easy that the AI players are too dumb to even get the puzzle with only one letter left. I then end up winning every time with over 50k in my pot, and the others left with no more than 1000 at the most, which also ruins the game experience.

The only remotely playable setting is on easy, but with all human players, so everyone gets a fair chance at winning without going bankrupt every 2nd turn.

NOT recommended, especially for families with kids who get frustrated easily. I got so annoyed the first time I played that I wanted to run over the disc with my car. Who tested this game before releasing it? Yuck.

I played this and it is sooo fun. Totally recommend it and it is almost just like the gameshow on tv. How nice is that. And, you can go online and play against opponents online as well. Cool. Very fun!

Wow, this game is good. I have loved the show for years and bought the game on PC before. This is fun for groups or by yourself. I really love the game, could only give 4 stars though because you cannot name your character or really make them personal :|

It was more challenging than I anticipated. So far a hit for family game time.
User friendly once you get past the character set up.
Love the ability to razz the competition with a button push.

My husband and I enjoy a game we can play together, and ones that keep your mind going, too. So glad they made this in a form we can play. We don't have tablets and don't do Facebook games.

This one's a good one.
