From the Author
When I came up with the idea for this novel, I was intriguedby a phenomenon. It seemed outrageous tome how much people simply loved to hate other people. Reality television shows were a perfectexample of this. So when I thought ofthis storyline, I wanted to try to create a real asshole of a character. And thus, Simon Cross was born.
Simon is an obtuse, self-centered, egomaniacal andsuccessful advertising executive. Heuses women and money like napkins. Iwanted readers to really, really hate him first...and then let them fall in lovewith him. The Wheels of Change
has been the most successful of all mybooks to date. I'm proud of this storybecause the book literally wrote itself. It is the third in my police procedural series but can be read as astandalone novel.
