I figured out fairly early into the book that Trina and Kat are two sides of the same coin. That being said, I had no idea where the story was going to go. Would she give into the darkness to find her revenge or would she stay in the light? Her character exemplifies the struggle that we all face at some point in our lives- do we let the past consume us and take away our future of do we let it go...
Luckily for her, she had the help of two extraordinary men. There is Leo, her best friend, bodyguard, driver and go-to. . Then there is Lucca. Sweet, understanding Lucca with his mesmerizing eyes. As Kat struggles with her life she also battles what to do about these men. She makes her choice and everything else falls into place. Leo, she loves him and he is in love with her. Enough that he walked away so that she could be happy. This isn't the only sacrifice that he makes- but no big spoiler on that from me.
There are plenty of twists and turns along the way that kept me flipping the pages and wanting more. There is that slight little cliffhanger at the end...I can't wait to see what happens with that!
I love Erin for her Book Boyfriend Series. When the Sun Goes Down is equally as good. It is just different. YES, where there is Erin Noelle there will be book boyfriends, no doubt. There is a whole cast of characters, Kat, Leo, Trina, and Lucca to name a few. Each so different yet intertwined in some way. If you like spicy reads, romance, intricate plots to take down evil, love, sacrifice and some sadness then this book is for you. I am #TeamLucca. However, Erin always makes it so hard to choose just one guy. She is turning all her readers into slore's or slamp's or something because lately I'm just saying #TeamSandwich.
