From the Author
I wrote When Noonday Ends because many of my avid-reading friends tracked me down via my website and Facebook, insisting that one of the characters from a previous book in the collection hadn't been given a fair shake. So, for my lovely readers, here you are. Thank you for the suggestion! A book I never intended to write turned out to be my favorite mystery. Happy Reading! Carmen

About the author

Carmen DeSousa is an internationally bestselling author of twenty-three novels and short stories. Her paranormal romantic suspense Creatus series is a USA Today Indie Romance Bestselling Series.
Her novels share her love of the outdoors. She's hiked, kayaked, and dined across the U.S., so she can bring her stories to life. Other than locations you can feel, she concentrates on the human factor, working to bring her characters the happily ever after that seems impossible.
As most authors, Carmen blames her leap into a full-time career as a professional writer on her love of reading. She states that reading has always been an escape for her. When life was rough as a child, she could always disappear into a book. But she found something else, too... She discovered that writing out her thoughts was therapeutic. Not only could she create hope for her protagonists, but she could also do away with her antagonists—legally.
Carmen currently lives in "The Heart of Arizona" with her husband of thirty-three years and a very spoiled rescue, a cross-eyed Russian Blue, who's too cute for words.
Carmen and her husband love to experience different areas, so they move a lot. They’ve lived on both of Florida’s coasts: Cocoa Beach and Tampa Bay; Charlotte, North Carolina; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Chicago, Illinois; Bullhead City, Arizona, the Northern Central Valley of California, and now Arizona’s high desert. They’re always looking for their next adventure, so they travel every chance they get. If you've read about a place in one of Carmen’s stories, she’s been there!
Both Carmen and her husband not only write, but also love to read outside—or a coffee shop if it's raining. And if the weather is really nice, they enjoy kayaking and hiking. Carmen says they rarely spend their days off at a movie theater or the mall. In fact, she hates shopping, and her husband would rather do anything than take her to a movie when she’s already read the book.

Justin a two year son, who the dad said if she didn’t do what he wanted, he would take a hand to the boy For. others and Tom and Shelby they have been used, could there meeting become one of healing for them. The plot deals with abuse, and how others are draw into to help if they could
I've read every novel by Carmen DeSousa, in order of release, and I think I love each subsequent book a little more than the last.
When Noonday Ends presents us with a death, a possible murderer, and love that you are just hoping will last and won't be destroyed by secrets and the past.
I love Tom. He is a great protagonist. I loved him as a secondary character in Land of the Noonday Sun and I love him even more as a lead character in When Noonday Ends. He is smart, but broken, and has you rooting for his happily ever after right from page one.
The plot is exciting and slowly reveals clues, but the ending has a twist that will leave you gasping in surprise, and loving every second of it. Carmen takes you on a ride with When Noonday Ends that you won't forget.
Great characters, good plot, fantastic mystery and suspense has me giving When Noonday Ends 5 out of 5 stars.

When Noonday Ends
After reading book 1 Land of the Noonday Sun, you will be well aware of who Tom Turner is. He is now working as a lawyer and gets involved in a case defending Shelby. But Shelby's in laws are the Castles and although Shelby is accused of murdering her husband which is the Castles son they want another more experienced lawyer to defend her. Her son is now being cared for by the Castles, and as Tom is no longer involved in her case he then decides to get romantically involved when she was released from jail.
This book will keep you guessing all the way through to the end, and leave you praying for the release of a follow up novel.
