The story has pretty much a traditional monster chasing plot line. The characters are quirky, realistic, and mostly likeable. When Vamps Bite is a good introduction to the series, a quick enjoyable read.
Clarissa is a cop, working her way up when she witnesses a vampire attack. Who will believe her? Does SHE even believe what she saw? Then, the plot thickens.....
Very descriptive story telling. You could vividly picture the scenes and characters without being too wordy.
This book had everything: drama, suspense, humor and even a hint of romance splashed it.
You'll find yourself laughing, holding your breath and gasping your way through and loving every minute of it. I can't wait to read the next in the series!
I was granted a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
I absolutely loved reading When Vamps Bite and I'm so grateful to the author for the ARC!
Clarrisa Tempest was a fun character to read and be. She was quirky, energetic and believed in herself. She knew what she'd seen and didn't try to demoralize herself or let others do it. I loved her.
The plotline itself was pretty amazing too, with suspense holding steady till the end.
So all in all, it was an awesomely amazing read and I really hope I'll get to read more of Clarissa Tempest!
I don't get it...
I expected that this book was going to knock my socks off, but the story is slow (56% of the way through it now), disjointed and with cop dialog from a soap opera. Must...get...to...end...of...book...
Praying it gets better...
Addendum: I made it to chapter 20, and then I couldn't take it anymore. Good luck to the writer and future readers....
