Review

'A quick easy read' Julie Hosford, NetGalley. 'A gentle whodunnit which manages to explore each character in detail and allows the reader to make their own judgement on them' Melanie Carter, NetGalley. 'A fast-paced thriller which I really enjoyed' Michelle Warner, NetGalley. .

From the Author

Born in Sweden, Jessica moved to London at the age of 18 to obtain a BSc Hons degree in Publishing and Business. She worked in publishing in the UK for a number of years before heading to Chicago where she edited a magazine for expats. Back in Sweden, she completed a Masters in Creative Writing. Since 2010, Jessica has taught journalism and media at a local university, and has spent the last five years as the marketing and PR manager for a British firm. Last year, she was one of the winners in the Montegrappa Prize for First Fiction at the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature. Jessica is married with three spirited children, and although she's known for her positivity, her writing tends to be rather dark!

Best-selling author of psychological thrillers, ‘When I Wake Up’ and ‘What Did I Do?’, Jessica Jarlvi was born and grew up in a small Swedish town prior to an international career, living and working in the UK, the US and the UAE.

Jessica has always had a love for the written word, and following a career in journalism and marketing, she submitted part of a manuscript to the prestigious Montegrappa First Fiction competition at the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature.

Named as one of the winners, she subsequently signed a book deal with Aria and Head of Zeus (HoZ). Jessica Jarlvi’s debut novel ‘When I Wake Up’ was published in 2017 and reached number 1 on the best-selling charts. In 2018, it was awarded "best fiction book" of the year by the prestigious bookstore, MaGrudy's. Her second novel, What Did I Do? was published in 2018 to rave reviews.

Although Jessica Jarlvi’s writing tends to be dark, Jessica speaks on stages all over the world and is seen as an inspiring role model for many women. She is driven to inspire people to believe that 'anything is possible' and that you really can have it all – happiness, a successful career and a family.
