I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 for a few reasons: several editing issues. I don't recall that being an issue in any of her previous books I've read, so I'm not sure why it jumped out at me this time but it was a bit distracting.
A little too much "preaching". I am a Christian and enjoy the spiritual aspects of her stories, but this was a little much even for me. However, I loved the Texas Hold 'Em analogy!
Lastly, the book was about two chapters too long. Maybe a little less preaching would have made it a better length.
Overall, a great book and I look forward to reading more from Staci.
This author grips the reader by not holding back the real issues that regular people deal with. She doesn't use "Christianese" to cover what the characters are struggling with.
This is real life and the reader will be pleasantly surprised at the analogies used by the characters to help the reader understand what the Bible is trying to teach us.
Highly recommended for the general audience!
BTW,I went back several times to find out how old the twins were~ seemed like they were really young,in the beginning, and, within weeks they were regular workmen! I'm weird about things like that,oh well. Maybe it was there and I missed it. Oh,and another BTW, this is my second time to go through the first two books,so that should say something!
