Has the man in your life betrayed your confidence and trust? If yes, this powerful new audio will provide invaluable advice. Forward (Betrayal of Innocence, Audio Reviews, LJ 5/15/92), an internationally acclaimed therapist with over 20 years in private practice, shows how to maneuver through the tangled web of lying in love relationships. She profiles the wide variety of liars, tells how to deal with the lies, and helps develop practical strategies to stop them before they destroy your relationship and your life. The author offers proven step-by-step methods for healing the wounds caused by deception and betrayal and also lights the path to rebuilding confidence and self-respect in both you and your partner. I tloerate no more vagueness from his lyimg mouth.
If you're looking for a book on how to ditch a liar, or how to get over a relationship you've ended because your partner was a liar, this isn't quite it.... this book is for those of us who have found that for whatever reason, the relationship is worth salvaging even with the liar.... and it helps you COPE with it, UNDERSTAND it, why it happens, how it is triggered, how to get around it, etc.
Kind of like going to Al-Anon when your partner is an alcoholic. It doesn't tell you what to do about them. It tells you how to bring your focus back to healing YOU. How to be less codependent about it. How to find serenity and peace in a situation that you didn't create, you can't cure, and you can't control....
Some people are just liars. When it's an ingrained response.... you can throw the baby out with the bathwater, or you can learn how not to let it run and ruin your life.
I hope that you, too, can find solace and advice in Ms. Forward's candid advice.
This book could be highly damaging for the partner of a sex addict (and many of the other disorders that she describes) because of her misinterpretation and demonization of people who legitimately need help.
