Arabella Warren has been trying to find employment as a governess for several months. But after having to leave numerous households for unsavory reasons, she has found it next to impossible to attain a position in a decent home. Then she sees an advertisement in the newspaper for a widower seeking a wife to help care for his two children. She sets out to convince the man that he needs a governess, not a wife, and that she would be the perfect lady for the job.
Jonathan Graves still grieves the loss of his wife, even as he tries to create a happy home for his five-year-old twins. Knowing he will never love again, he believes the best solution is to enter into a marriage of convenience. His children will have a stepmother and he can go on loving the woman who passed away. But he is not prepared to meet the lady who will change all their lives forever.
WHERE HEARTS MEET is a love story about loss, love and starting over. It contains explicit language and graphic sex scenes. It also gives hope to anyone who wonders if it's possible to love again.

About the author

Danielle Fishel calls Maureen Driscoll her "most favorite author of all things naughty and delicious."
Maureen Driscoll is an Emmy-nominated writer-producer in Los Angeles whose credits include "MADtv," "Jimmy Kimmel Live," and Nickelodeon's "BrainSurge." She was also a recipient of a Walt Disney Studios screenwriting fellowship, where she wrote a romantic comedy based on her rather painful divorce. The script didn't make it to the big screen, but it did teach her a few things about happily ever after.
Maureen has written two Regency romance series, following the members of the Kellington and Emerson families, and one set in the early Victorian era, about the residents of Jasmine Cottage. She is also the author of the Remington Mansion cozy mystery trilogy and a contemporary romance series about the wealthy Carmichael family in Los Angeles, as well as the Christmas novella, PART-TIME ELVES.
She is also the author of FRACKED, a serialized novel on Amazon's Vella platform, which is also being released as a four-book set on Kindle. It's a paranormal romance where demons are rising up through a fracking field near an over-55 community, and the only people standing in their way are two former Black Panthers, a Vietnam vet, a retired teacher and a recent divorcee.
She is waiting for a Mr. Darcy to show up in her own life and plans on scolding him soundly for being so late when he does.
Maureen loves hearing from her readers on Facebook at Maureen Driscoll Author, Twitter, Goodreads and MaureenDriscollRomance.Wordpress.com. She is also extremely grateful to Mayhem Cover Creations for the book covers and Brandin Photography for the featured author photo.

As much as I loved the romance, I adored the five women who live in Jasmine Cottage more.
Ms. Driscoll has developed five female characters, while fictional, I would consider them my kindred spirits! Arabella, Emma, Grace, Daphne and Lily are free-spirited and intelligent woman I would love to have afternoon tea daily! Though it is hard to imagine Victorian women being that outspoken in public, I could see them feeling free to discuss the idiocy of the times in their own home, in a small country town like Ms. Driscoll created. I could easily see them as very involved in tackling the injutices that class differences, poverty and politics caused. I also found the children in the book to be endearing if again not what I have heard Victorian children were allowed to act.
The romance was delightfully entertaining. Jonathan's affection for Arabella developed slowly with lots of verbal foreplay that made the whole thing heated and sexy. This is not my mother's historical romance! The bedroom scenes are much more explicit than you would get with Georgette Heyer or Barbara Cartland! I like a little spice in my romance.
I have no doubt I will read more of this series soon.
Sexual situations (explicit) may offend some readers
What a great jumping off point for a sweet and tender love story! I know you'll enjoy its wonderful cast of characters as much as I.
Then, too, there were Jonathan's twin children who took to Arabella and hated to be parted from her.
Jonathan was a man stuck in his past love for his deceased wife and things got pretty unbearable for him until he realised that Arabella was the sunshine he was missing in his life.
This all made the story such a romantic one filled with angst, passion, loving and caring where the good characters prosper and the bad ones don't.
I am enjoying Ms Driscoll's stories so very much and which, it seems to me, she writes from the heart!
Jonathan knows he needs to find a new governess for his children but he advertise’s for a wife instead and meets Arabella in the process.
Arabella lives at Jasmine Cottage with several other woman and has been trying to find a governess position for months. When she sees Mr. Graves advertisement for a wife she decides to meet him and hopes to talk him in to hiring her as a governess instead.
A beautifully written story with a wonderful ending.

The addition of male characters simply to set up new books slowed the story down also. We now know who is going to be set up with which female characters next!

While the 2 lead characters are excellently drawn, the author has included 2 beautifully drawn children.
Engaging and compelling, I also like the way that certain characters from future books in the series are almost seamlessly included.
I heartily recommend you read this book.
I am off to get the rest in the series!
