"Ms. Grote's unique narrative interweaves the fascinating oral history of her father, Jerry, with her uncompromising, tender-hearted account of memory, memory loss, and eventual, relentless caretaking of her father. Where Memories Meet accumulates a power - a ripple effect - that engages the reader on the most human level. . . This is a book you can't put down. . .This is a great gift, this real story of real love and a time in which much light breaks through darkness, replenishing every turn of the page."--Jeffrey Hillard, associate professor of English at Mount St. Joseph University, author, and award-winning poet.
From the Author
I hope this book might help those who have not had personal experience with Alzheimer's to understand a little better. I hope it may show those who have, that they are in the company of survivors.
