This book is 100 poems, or reverie as the author calls them. They are a blending of philosophy, poetry, short stories, and anecdotes. Some are very sad, some are depressing, some are romantic, some are sexy, some are just plain weird. I laughed a few times too. The pages are very airy, lots of white space, which I like. I have to admit, I'm not a huge fan of poetry, I find it all too confusing, but this work was more understandable for me. Or at least I related to it more. This makes me want to reach more poetry, but I don't know how to find other stuff like this. Does anyone know which other authors write like this?
This collection is simply beautiful; filled with so much wisdom and intricate imagery. You'll plan on reading a quarter of it and suddenly, sadly be at the end. It covers the full spectrum of human emotion, leaving you with a feeling of being completely understood and in companionship. The design of the book is also lovely, with lots of white space to let the words of each poem sink in before moving onto the next.
