Poor install .exe file. Took many attempts and much difficulty to install, from someone that has extensive experience with software installations. Program has very poor graphics, grainy and diminished in size. Would not recommend.

I bought this for my son who is 9 years old. He had a blast with it. He wouldn't stop playing until he beat the game! Unexpectedly, my 7 year old daughter had a great time with it too. (However, she reads at a 3rd grade level. She's not at a typical reading level for a 7 year old.) I was concerned that the game would not work because I read so many reviews that said it wasn't compatible with newer computers. I have windows XP and it worked just fine. It never froze. The box it comes in looks different than the one pictured. It came in a deep purple box. I would recommend this to anyone who has middle to late elementary students. It was fun!

Great Educational Game but Can't Save

I have windows 7 and the game ran on my computer without any modifications (like changing color or settings to windows 2000). I was able to play the game for about 2 hours and everything was fine but I was getting hungry, so I press the button to turn off the game. Once the credits were done scrolling through, an error message came up. The game didn't save. I then tried to change the color, change window settings to previous versions, but nothing helped.

So basically, the game doesn't save. I've read the other reviews and knew that might happen before I bought it but I just love the Carmen series so much to not at least give it a try.

There is only one game you can play. It is the same every time. I bought is for a student that I home school thinking it would be good because I remember the old one which was great. The student was bored out of his mind. The characters talk all the time to each other and you can't fast forward it. This game sucks and is a waste of money. Why didn't they still to the old version and just update the graphics?
