The contents were an Interesting read but there were lots of typo errors which was a bit irritating. I would expect the publisher to proof read and edit these misspellings before printing the book. The dimensions of the book was magazine-sized and the print lines were double spaced which makes reading the book quite unpleasant. But as I mentioned earlier, the book is an interesting read as the author had done quite a bit of research and gave his honest thoughts on some of the issues he mentioned.
I found the information very helpful and objective. The author does not try and make things fit to what he may want to believe. I saw Dr. Rawlings on television, many years ago and I bought his first book "Beyond Death's Door" and felt the information in it was very helpful. I read the book to see if I could give it away to someone who might need it. Dr Rawlings tells what he witnessed as a Heart Specialist. He is objective, as far as I can tell. I know that the typing has some problems, since I have been in the printing business. Shirley Smith
I am a fan of Dr Rawlings' earlier books Beyond Death's Door and To Hell And Back, so I was excited when I read the blurb for this book. It promised that the book would compare death esperiences by people of different religions, ie, people who had died and been revived, and were willing to talk about what they had experienced. The book doesn't do that. Instead, Dr Rawlings conducts a rambling critique of The Da Vinci Code, and then rambles on further about various religions. There is no comparison of death experiences. The most interesting part of the book was Dr Rawlings' explanation of how he once found himself flying upside down in a snow storm with the inside of his windscreen covered with frozen urine. Like I said, he rambles.
This is the book to read if you doubt that there is life after death. Dr. Rawlings uses the testimonies of his patients to prove that there is a Heaven and a Hell. It is important that I add that he uses the Bible as reference throughout his book. A must for anyone, Christian or any other religion.
