The paranormal elements take on a twisty new turn-- there is a whole lot of mystery, intrigue, and romance in The Whispering House, which will leave you with feelings of surprise, frustration, shock, tenderness, trepidation, longing, and a whole smattering of other emotions along with plenty of steamy scenes, which makes this ghost story unlike most others.
The vivid descriptions the character development are all amazingly packaged in this fantastic and haunting tale. But Don’t Just Take My Word For It Grab Your Copy Today.

I received a free copy of this book and chose to write an honest review.
The Whispering House is a moody, well-written supernatural thriller. It has a slow-build plot and well-constructed characters that develop as Eleanor comes to understand what’s going on at this house and with her possible love interest(s). What begins as a love story expands into a fun, fast-paced supernatural thriller and romance. I really enjoyed Baun’s novel and would definitely read more of her work.

What I thought was going to be a straight-up horror story quickly delved into the realms of fantasy, and science fiction. Marci Baun transitioned from what appeared to be a haunting into something quite different with expertly written flow.
Eleanor’s grappling with her own sanity, coupled with her attraction to both handsome sheriff Rodney Tyler, and enigmatic neighbor Michael Stevens provides a healthy friction to the storyline. The resolution was not one that I expected.
Do yourself a favor and read this book. Just be careful about reading it before bed… Especially if you live in a creaky old house, like I do.
Descriptive and well worded, Baun leads us on Eleanor’s journey seamlessly, no easy task when you’re hoping between time and space. The Whispering House gives its readers a taste of another world (or worlds). As a long time fantasy genre reader, I found the story intriguing as it uses many fantasy elements such as interdimensional travel, magic relics, and even otherworldly monsters like the Gehglers. The erotica portion of the book, while quite descriptive in parts, didn’t detract from the story and in many ways was important to the story overall.
If you’re looking for a steamy read, this probably isn’t the book for you, however there’s plenty of story in The Whispering House. A comfortable cast of characters and a new and exciting world to explore (and a “handful” of erotic scenes) makes this an interesting and enjoyable read.
