In the process she meets two very attractive men. She wonders if she can ever trust a man again. Because of counseling, she is able to accept a date from both men. One turns out to be a good decision and the other a bad one.
In the process of digging around and dealing with the new men in her life, she comes across evidence that drug smugglers are using the canyon for drug drops.
She gets into plenty of trouble. I love the fast paced action of this book. I like the characters and especially the setting.
It's a good fast read.
With an interesting cast of characters, Bock builds a fun romantic suspense around archeology and in an unusual setting complete with romance and bad guys. This book has mystery, romance, fun, action, and suspense told in the first person. If this is your favorite genre, you will definitely find this entertaining.
By Kris Boch
A young archeological student arrives at a dig at a state park. She is there to study and find what early American food sources were. She is quickly plunged into a mystery that she slowly unravels. Small points of lights appear at night in the canyon, small planes are seen but not identified. When she sits on the canyon ledge there are the whispers. Are they voices of the past or something more sinister? It all becomes clear as she learns more.
KrisWhispers in the Dark Boch describes the desert and sights and you feel like you are there. The story is an enjoyable read and the plot evolves quickly. I couldn't put it down. I highly recommend it.
