Clean but immature :(

All the other reviews described the story, I received an ARC copy or bought it for .99 cents. Here is MY 2 cents ! It was a clean Christian story covering a delicate subject...but Ty &Jorydn were just too IMMATURE :(. The story dragged on with their "touchy-feely " teen heartthrob emotions. ...
"Her heart thumped when his hand brushed hers"
"He met her gaze and his stomach churned " etc.
Both of their parents died when they were young....but AFRAID of going on a date? SHE. had to invite HIM to a church picnic ? SHE hid her inner most feeings....but GAVE him a journal/diary of hers to read ?
Maybe this book will appeal to women more so than men. Again, a clean read, a LITTLE BIT of the Gispel was presented, but not enough to truly CONVERT someone :(. And speaking of which....in her DIARY Jordyn mentions getting SAVED, but then....no entries for "2" years ? Could she not have shared her Testimony....how God had done a Mighty work in her life ? 2 years....and no mention of Blessings or Spiritual growth ? No men in church she could have dated ?
Quite a few holes in this book. 2 -3 stars. Could have been much better

Beautiful story about love, loss and faith that heals!

This was a beautiful story that compelled me since the start!
The main characters have been through so much, both losing their parents. Jordyn lost her loving uncle who took her in after her parents died, and he has always devoted to her nurse career and helping patients and family deal with loss. Ty was left by his fiancée and then his sister is battling an aggressive cancer, just after giving birth to twins and being left by her husband.
So much grief... how to handle it? Ty doesn’t know how, but getting to know her sister’s nurse Jordyn, and how she deals with pain and loss, opens up his heart gradually. Is it possible to make sense out of all of it?
They both feel attracted to each other but their own losses make them keep their distance. Will true love overcome every obstacle and melt their defenses?
It was a sweet and clean romance dealing with rough and delicate issues, and with an inspiring message. It didn’t seem too preachy.
I loved this story and getting to know this characters and their battles. It uplifted me and it made me see how life is a gift we should never take for granted, and make the most of each minute and day we are given.
I totally recommend this book and author.

Jordyn has experienced much loss and this leads her to believe that she can never have a family because everyone she loves, she loses. Ty is facing the loss of his sister to cancer after losing both parents and raising his sisters alone, he is angry. He refuses to recognize that her faith is what is keeping Mary going inspite of what she is experiencing. How can she not be angry at God when her husband has left her with twin boys, and her death coming soon. Jordyn is the Hospice nurse for Mary and she and Mary exude a peace that Ty cannot fathom. Ty comes to respect Jordyn as she grows to love this family and draws Lisa to the Lord. Will she be able to complete what she feels is her mission to this family, lead them to the Lord before Mary goes to meet Him? Can Ty let go of his anger and return to the Lord? Great story and insight into those struggling with dying too soon and leaving family behind who also must struggle through loss. Well written.

Whispers of Love by Rose Verde is an outstanding, compassionate story of faith, love and loss. I used several tissues on this one. I loved every minute of reading this book. Both Jordyn and Ty lost their parents far too soon. Now Ty's sister is dying. Ty brings Mary to his house and hires Jordyn as Mary's hospice nurse. Jordyn attempts to help Ty as well. The book is a well-written, even encouraging, Christian tale of how Jordyn, Ty and Ty's other sister learn to deal with even more loss and eventually, hand it all to God. This is a most satisfying story and I highly recommend it.

Ending Makes Up for All the Sadness Through the Book

When Jordyn Rivers loses three close family members, she pulls back determined not to get close to anyone again. Losing loved ones just hurts too much. As a hospice nurse, she does what she can to make things easier for hurting families. But when she goes to help the Warrens, the wall she’s built to protect her heart starts to crumple.

Ty Warren lost his parents and had to assume his father’s role in the tech business and care for his two younger sisters. He’s handled his losses with internal anger, especially now that one sister is dying of cancer and leaving two twin toddlers behind. The fact that her husband abandoned her and his fiancé left him isn’t a good recommendation for relationships. However, when Mary’s hospice nurse enters their life, everything begins to gradually change.

I thought the first part of the novel was too heavy with conflict, sorrow, regrets, and grief. However, it did get better after Mary leaves the picture. The ending was especially good and helped make up for all the sadness.

Whispers of Love is the new book written by Rose Verde. The author did excellent job writing about a very hard topic, hospice care and death from cancer. Very few authors could have written a book that was so good while dealing with such a sensitive subject. The characters were very life like and believable. The story took the me on a rollercoaster ride of emotions-laughter, anger, friendship, love and great sadness.[have a box of tissues handy] Whispers of Love is a book that I highly recommend to anyone who reads women’s fiction or romance.

This was a great book to read. Ty and Jordyn both have to overcome past sorrows to become the people they are today. If you like a good Christian romance you will like this book. It is not a book of all happiness, but has some deep subjects which just make the book more inspiring. If I could, I would give it more than 5 stars.

Jordyn has lost several family members and has shut herself to love, Ty is very angry at the world and God for taking another loved one.

I love all Rose Verde’s books but would have to say this is one of my favourites. I appreciated the sensitive way she dealt with the difficult subjects of hospice care and death from cancer, with the inevitable rollercoaster of grief and anger, as well as the physical and emotional drain of hospice care. All of the emotions surrounding Mary’s dying were complicated by both Ty and Jordyn having lost their own parents too young and never having fully dealt with that loss. Neither Ty nor Jordyn wanted to get involved in a relationship as they both feared further loss. Strong Christian message and despite the sadness, the book did have a really good ending.
