Well it works OK with city and county cops, however our state troopers only turn on their radars when they look at you so the warning is too late to do any good. If the radar is not on, this thing will not detect it, duh! The issue I am writing about is the power cord. Firstly it does not maintain a good connection with the lighter socket so goes on and off often as you drive and it's turning itself on alarms must be frequently endured; and it just fell apart after 4 grueling months of use. After a few weeks of digging through Goodwill junk boxes I have given up finding a replacement and bought two more power cords. The thinking here is that one in each car will lessen the stress of pulling it out and putting it in the lighter socket once a week which is something this thing is not made to do.
