Wake up and smell the coffee

I have been concerned about some of the American police ever since the Occupy riots. Apparently, mobs of "progressives" were allowed to commit arson and mass destruction without being arrested. This sounds ominous to me, like the British "police" (laughable idea) who arrest, not the burglar, but the person who has been burgled, and spend their spare time cowering in their "police stations."

Now I learn that there is an entire new wave of black violence, largely centered around the "flash mob" -- just one more blessing of digital technology and "social media." Evidently, it is now possible to flash a message to a group along the lines of "2535 Main Street, 10:43 PM" -- and the mob will assemble at the precise time and place to rob a 7-11 or beat a solitary white man while robbing everything he has.

And our newspapers do not report it!!

Why?

Perhaps they are in love with the "oppressed" people committing the crimes. Perhaps they are afraid of touching off a race war.

But I'll tell you my reaction: our police need the computer savvy and the courage to deal with "flash mobs" and take them out. Anything else is just cowardice.

Hard to believe information.

I did not mean to impune the author's veracity in my top line, I meant it is painful to know that racism is so prevasive. That is what this is about: racism from the very people who most suffered from racism in the past. Like all racists the people described here are identical to the KKK and the Nazis and all other racists who seek temporary self agrandizement and a feeling of power over the most vulnerable and helpless victims they can find. Not man to man either, as usual in greater numbers and by surprise tactics, often armed.
That cowards act this way is no revelation, but that the police and city governments, even state agencies, seem to feel powerless to stop gang muggings on defenseless people, based solely on their race, is shockingly revealing. That is the message I take from this book, above all: that the liberal political correctness of the current people in charge leaves the private citizen more reason than ever to make sure he can defend himself and to travel in groups just like the muggers do. This tells me the current administrators and law enforcement are inviting more and more division, distrust, and violence by not believing what every incident clearly documents on u-tube videos to the whole world.
If you don't read this report you should at least not go on picnics, not go downtown at night, not go the the state fair. Read it.

America....we've got a problem...

This book does not intend to demonize Black Americans any further than some of their tribe already demonize themselves via their own actions. Instead, this book successfully demonstrated the collusion of the mainstream media, metropolitan police administrations and political machines, and the federal government in purposely avoiding coverage of these increasingly frequent and increasingly violent incidents.

It is almost Nazi propaganda-like how the media avoids mentioning, obufiscates and even outright denies these senseless black-on-white attack incidents; especially by keeping them all at the under reported local level rather than tying them together and making them a part of the overall dialogue of what is really wrong with mainstream America today.

And what is truly terrifying is that the MSM, the big city political machines and the Feds have been successful in keeping America ignorant of the powder keg.

Read this book America, wake up to the new reality.

Critical Consumer

An overdue eye-opener!

This book will certainly resonate with any honest, regular consumer of urban crime reporting. Indeed, readers of the Washington Post and the NY Times---to name but a few conspicuous examples---are quite familiar with the tendency of editors to redact the race of assailants from police reports and advisories---even when the offenders are still at large! For fear of confirming "stereotypes" <<eyeroll>> The glaring exceptions prove the rule: with inter-racial or inter-[insert-oppressed-liberal-group here] crimes, especially if the victim is gay or black, the incident is impulsively dubbed a "hate crime"---usually in the headline. Truly bizarre when reputable news organizations take on the role of protecting readers *from* the facts. This almost ubiquitous tendency in modern American newspapers has reached the point of absurdity, as readers now routinely just assume and insert the [usually-correct] race through interpolation when it has so obviously been omitted from physical descriptions that otherwise include clothing details, age, etc. but not race of the attacker.

The book may not be a pleasant read, and it will surely make orthodox liberals furious for fully ripping the lid off one of America's ugliest contemporary non-secrets. But how much of a secret is it, really? This ugliness is a veritable point of pride in rap videos and so much urban cell phone video reportage. Just G**gle "worldstarhiphop fights" or "white beatdown" or 'whiteboy stomped" or "wolfpack assault" or similar and you'll get a menu of thousands of videos from black teens---a library of well-catalogued horrors which grows hourly. So often the video starts before the attack is even announced, part of the ambush, as it's become a sort of American "film noir verite."

If only scholars and criminologists would measure and study this problem with the same misguided zeal with which they relentlessly research alleged police bias and racism. Truth told, this book might be better if it was more than an assemblage of anecdotes---albeit real, documented incidents. That's the next step: carefully quantifying the scope of black-on-non-black violence versus other (usually trumpeted) iterations of so-called hate crimes.

But lacking any quality, formal social science on this subject, this book is it. And reading it is probably less wrenching than watching it unfold, on script, across a video screen. Buy the book.
