It doesn't bend that easily for tight turns and connecting it to the filter coupling was not easy because of the tight space, but I got it to work and I am not worried about this getting a split in it EVER let alone a year after replacing it.
Make certain if you use this tubing for your refrigerator to make all the connections tight as possible. The stiff flex could pull it out from the compressor if not.
I wish they sold a smaller size, I needed about 2 feet for this application. The tubing is very hard to get on the fitting, should be able to use a lighter instead of the stove to soften it. Other sellers had this tubing at a much higher price. You can buy this tubing for cold and hot water applications with the knowledge that it can handle the house water pressure even at hot water temperatures.
RE ORDERED the item described as 1/8 ID and 1/4 OD and it was just as described, very satisfied with re-order.
