Pretty solid. It's more a history of the RAC scene and the bands involved than it is the skinhead scene. Although there are tons of first person/eyewitness accounts of gigs, everyday life as a skinhead, major fights etc. The history of Skrewdriver year by year is great. After all the endless books about the various different punk scenes that have popped up in the last decade, I was waiting for something about RAC. My only complaint is the last section about the American bands. It's almost an afterthought, only about 55 pages. Other than that, superb layout, great cover, loads of pictures, bands, flyers. Feral House is great, I have never been disappointed with anything they've put out. Thanks for having the balls to publish this.

informative, with many firsthand accounts. However, primary content is dedicated to the British white power or (ROCK AGAINST COMMUNISM) music scene Which was the mass propaganda tool used for recruitment. Although it was the main aspect of the so called movement, this book doesn't deal enough with the with the "comrades" accross the Atlantic, and the "more heavily armed" far right organizations in North America or the domestic terrorist and paramilitary groups which formed by the early 1990s. additionally, a North American music company became the main global distributor of the RAC music genre, an e-commerce pioneer and - although short lived-one of the first multimillion dollar companies based solely on global Internet sales. Not all thugs and hooligans afterall.

Excellent book well researched, well laid out, so much information in it.I cannot recommend this book highly enough to anybody looking for a complete guide to the White Nationalist Skinhead movement.

Boring minutiae from a bunch of racists

I was hoping that this would be more in the style of Lords of Chaos, however it is just a bunch of stories given to the smallest detail about gigs and how much they hate folks. There is only one chapter of 30 pages covering the scene in the US in the 600 page book that is at least twice as long as it should be.

Okay, firstly this book is very comprehensive and has a fair few surprises in who pops up in the white power scene.... Chubby Chris gets a few mentions and Close Shave played a fair few WP shows.....but this book is obviously very sympathetic to the WP cause and i found that quite uncomfortable and although the author does try to attempt to a sence of impartiality they are obviously fans and supporters of NS politics and worship Ian Stuart.....really disappointing. "white warriors...black scum blah blah blah".....

Reminiscent of D. Trump and Tea Party rallies

I have been taught that one way to combat racism and bigoted groups is to study their history. I disagree with Skinheads movement as soon as they honored street punks that "clocked black youths". I am reminded of National Front every time I view an tense vitrolic Donald Trump rally or a closed minded Tea Party rally. The merits of this book come in using their own "facts" to argue against bigoted xenophobic belifs!
