This soap base takes color and scent wonderfully and looks beautiful in my soaps (see the picture included of my oatmeal, milk and honey loofa soaps). My only complaint is that it sets up REALLY fast. As in almost as soon as you take it off the heat. normally I like to cool my M&P soaps down to 120 degrees before adding colorant and fragrance but I just wasn't able to do that with this soap base because by the time the middle was down to 120, the rest was mostly set. Otherwise, this was a great purchase and I was able to adapt my recipes to the quick setting time so that wasn't even a huge deal.

Botanical Soap – Melt and Pour Recipe
Ingredients:
3 lbs glycerin soap base
1/4 cup finely ground lemongrass leaves
7.5 mL lemongrass essential oil
1 teaspoon dried Irish seaweed powder
1 teaspoon kratom powder
1 cup of water
Directions:
Infuse the kratom powder and lemongrass leaves in gently simmering water for about 20 minutes to create an herbal infusion.
Use a double boiler (or a small pot nested inside a larger pot, with simmering water in the bottom of the larger pot) and heat glycerin soap base until it becomes liquid.
Add the herbal infusion, oils, and Irish seaweed powder to the melted glycerin soap base and stir to ensure an even distribution of ingredients. (Spread out your ingredients and don’t let them settle in clumps.)
Pour the liquid mixture into your soap molds and let cool.
