Seriously, this is the funniest show since friends. I LOVE Whitney! She and Alex are one of the best TV couples ever. Even my husband, who is the most critical TV viewer EVER loves this show. Give it a try, you'll be hooked!

I know this show was the butt of many 2011-2012 TV season jokes. I, however, was relieved (and very thankful!) that it was renewed for a second season. It truly is one of the funniest shows currently on the air and one of my favorites of all time. I couldn't wait to watch it every week. While my DVR would fill up with weeks' worth of other shows, I'd catch WHITNEY weekly. Besides 2 Broke Girls, it was the only new show this past season to make me laugh out loud. Ironically, that show is from Whitney Cummings, too.

In WHITNEY, Whitney Cummings and Chris D'Elia have terrific chemistry, fantastic comic timing, and play very relatable characters. The supporting characters have their moments, too, but it's probably Chris that really makes the show and helps Whitney to shine. He's incredibly wacky, but not overly or unbelievably so.

Here's to many, many more seasons of laughs!

The critics were negative with the series "Whitney". I disagree. For me, the characters, and the actors playing them determine how I react to a show. I have to want these people into my life every week. With "Whitney", I was won over from the first minute. Whitney is not your typical female sitcom star. She is thinner and not your average beauty, but she is an original, and very likable. Chris D'Elia as her boyfriend is perfect. I could watch him all day, his quirky laugh, his unique voice, and his wry way of reacting to Whitney, combined with his sexy body, make him perfect for a weekly viewing at home. Each episode made me laugh, particularly the episode when Alex"s brother visits. Dan O"Brien as Alex's best friend is lovable as the sidekick. I kept all episodes on my DVR until I had the DVD in my hand. It will never be a #1 show, but I hope it manages to run for years, so I can enjoy these people.

I have really enjoyed the who season of Whitney. It is funny and clever. The season finale is about Whitney and Alex decide to get married, which goes against what Whitney has always believed that marriage isn't for her. As simple and basic as they try to keep the wedding plans, they run into lots of obstacles and delays. They manage to conclude all of the struggles to their mutual satisfaction. I am looking forward to next season.

I loved this show and never understood the critics who hated it. Whitney can be a bit annoying at times but that usually made it easier to sympathize with her boyfriend Alex who had to put up with her all the time. The cast changed abruptly which I also never understood, why write off one character because he turned out to be gay? But the other characters were funny so it didn't make me stop watching. And they also abruptly changed Mark from a cop (which I never bought) to a bartender, which did make some sense.

After enjoying this we tried Two Broke Girls, also by Cummings and found it so crass we couldn't stand watching. Very different from Whitney which never veers too far into that area, though it's not for younger viewers. I wish they'd renewed it beyond two seasons but that's network execs for you.

Overall, I really like this show and I hope they make another season. There were several times throughout the season that I have literally laughed out loud. I also liked when the actors were clearly having a hard time not cracking up themselves. Having said that, there have been a few times that I have wondered about this show. Sometimes the storyline of Whitney's group of friends seemed disjointed and almost an entirely different show than the main storyline with Whitney and Alex.

I recommend this show, I think it's really funny and has a lot of potential.

Loved this sitcom so much I had to add this to my collection. I was disappointed when it was cancelled. Honestly, I think they should've cancelled 2 Broke Girls and kept this one going. It was edgier and the characters were better. Lots of laughs with some jokes having you wondering if they could get away with that on primetime TV. Worth a watch.

I wish they hadn't cancelled this show. It was remarkable. Ever wonder what a story looks like when its a couple that is still finding their way and not one where there is a complicated never-ending chase? I think the show was meant for more intelligent watchers. I also like that Whitney Cummings is so refreshingly different, dark, and unconventional. This is a great storyline that was at the forefront of an issue society will need to come to terms with - couples that don't need marriage to be a couple. So, take that marital-industrial complex!! Despite that, it's funny. I bought the 2 seasons after I saw her show up on NBC's "Undateable," which is a funny show in it's own right. Chris D'Elia is fantasticly animated as one of the leads in "Undateable" - if somewhat more subdued and supportive in "Whitney." But the two definitely have chemistry and it is good to see what they were like when they just babies on "Whitney." I wish this show hadn't been cancelled.
