Serial Killers: The Method and Madness of Monsters
Female Serial Killers: How and Why Women Become Monsters
The fact that the sexes are pretty equal in that they MURDER! The startling fact is the female is fact more prone to murder a member of family or someone she intimately knows very well often using poisons, chemicals, or medicines. Most female serial murderers in fact have a career that is startling 8 years long which is 4 years longer than the 'average' male. They also are thought to kill more victims!! With this combined with the fact that they often and most normally KNOW their victims, it should be a fact to our culture that a pretty young caucasian mother of a 2 year old about to turn 3 could do this to her daughter! But instead we react with gruesome fascination that this can't be true just as the author points out. Until Casey Anthony makes a mockery of all our intelligence by telling lies ONLY her deluded mother and maybe other family members could swallow!! The rest of us know better that those are lies that don't pass the smell test. And she is insulting our basic intelligence with trying to get us to swallow them. So then we're self assured like we were with Susan Smith...she will PAY for doing this to "CAYLEE" (and really us in reality. Like the author so insightfully points in the book! She has highlighted herself with traits we all despise but her perception of OUR DESPISE is CELBRITY because of her own arrogance and NARCISSICISM! She is a true Sociopath after all and she can't understand how we all really feel about her. She thinks we are fans. She is FAMOUS instead of INFAMOUS. Which is why I shoudn't have choked the other day on my soup when I heard this quote on HLN "....Casy Anthony thinks of herself as a brand like Kim Kardashian...." Of course she does. It fits with her personality and her amoral character to assume she will be rich and famous from murdering her daughter or even that the murder of her daughter will become a profit making scheme for her some way. The only way to stop that is to not buy anything she has to sell. Especially if she really does self publish a book! As a country we have an obligation to show her our true disgust and turn our backs on her! But I'd be amazed if that actually happened. I think too many people would be too curious to what she'd actually have to say. But let me tell you that if you ever have dealt with a pathological liar in your life as I have...I can promise it won't be the truth! So you need not worry about buying it. It will be MORE convuluted lies and throwing more people under the bus. Hopefully at least Jose Baez this time!)
As a Marriage and Family therapist this book provided a lot of food for thought and material for future discussions about this topic.
points as to why Casey may have killed or accidently caused her death. The author
pinpoints major motivations for such a lethel act: money, lifestyle, and power being present
as well as non-inclination to be a mother. She states that Casey's apparent lack of grief
and emotion helped fuel the public outrage as well as her elaborate constant lying. It is
clear once again how very self fixated Casey was and is. Unfortunately, George was
turned into a villain during the trial. The difficult aspect of this book is the dishonor
it receives by grammar, spelling, and repeats of previous sentences. Hello? I thought
editors caught these problems as well as the author signing off on the final copy? While
no one is perfect this book's technical problems make readers cringe.
