My grandpa has a bad cough. I use my stethoscope
to listen to his chest.
“One day, I’m going to be a doctor,” I tell him.
“Then I can give medicine to people who are sick.”
“God gave you a tender heart, Haley,” Grandpa says.
“You would be a great doctor.”
I spin around and close my eyes. I imagine wearing a
white coat with a real stethoscope around my neck.
“Time to visit the next patient!”

I’m an Asian American children’s book illustrator and surface designer from the lush forests of the PNW, but am currently residing in the hot desert of Nevada with my husband and our border collie.
I work digitally in procreate and photoshop but I also like to dabble in watercolors. My style is soft and sweet with an emphasis on characters and connections. My art is influenced by nature, culture, and the importance of showing all kinds of people in my illustrations.
I am represented by The Bright Agency and a member of SCBWI.
