I started to listen to The Who, but couldnt get into them. I always heard they were the loudest band in the world. I had Tommy and Who's Next, but it wasnt till I heard a greatest hits cd by them that I started to understand. The Who's early days had some of the greatest rock/pop songs ever, then went into full fledge rock with Who's Next. Every album that I hear is not there best, still can amaze me. Pete Townshend is a guitar god, his playing on this cd is simply jaw dropping. Van Halen, Young, Slash, Hendrix, Clapton, Page, Townshend needs to start getting noticed to his playing. He is simply one of the greatest guitarist ive ever heard, and i've heard them all. Roger Daltery's vocals arent as good as the 60's and 70's but still enjoyable. This cd was a steal for seven dollars, and made me realize why the Who is one of the greatest live acts of all time. I was worried seeing all the guest stars, but Townshend shines on this. I recommend this to any rock any who appericates good music.

RIP : John Erstwile and Keith Moon

Wow, What a night! Live at the Royal Albert Hall is one of the best sounding live recordings from the Who. What a great show from beginning to end! So many great songs and lots of special guests highlights this 3 cd set! If you love the who you owe it to yourself to pick up this budget priced set! I picked this one up on lark because of the low price and I am so glad I did! Great Show, Great Music, Great Sound and Great Price = Great Deal

There is no band like the Who. Never has been. Never will be. The Royal Albert Hall Show includes some of the last live recorded performances of this Hall of Fame band with John Entwhistle on bass and for that alone it is a worthy buy.

Other Who Live efforts have more notoriety -- Live at Leeds for example -- but the live recordings of the past decade have a significantly better sound quality and a fuller, more complete sound.

Pete Townshend shows in these concerts that he continues to be the engine that drives The Who. His guitar work is his alone, whether it be acoustic or electric. Roger Daltry is not at his best voice here, yet his efforts are still worth noting. Join Together might be a better example of Daltry while Townshend shines in both.

Guest shots by Eddie Vedder and Bryan Adams are included in the recording but, honestly, I'd rather just hear The Who play The Who.

This is an awesome live performance by The Who which is recorded flawlessly. Grab this CD up because it’s impossible to find anywhere else even through streaming. 5:15 alone is worth the price of this CD with the bass solo from the Ox.

This is The Who at their rockin! best. Throw in a few guest artists and the Royal Albert Hall really rocks out. The have never sounded better nor stronger than the set of this album which covers their 1/2/ century of work. If ya love The Who, get this live rocker!

bought these awhile back and I never did I review. But I feel everyone deserves the right to know how their products were. It came without a problem and it played okay. I would definitely buy it again. Just sorry for the late review

Like Pete Townshend wrote once, 'I hope I die before I get old', I thought that was a good philosophy, but I am glad it didn't come to pass so I could live long enough to hear this CD. Thank you very much.

5.0 out of 5 stars What Else But The Who
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on August 4, 2012
As usual a good live performance from The Who and excellent reworking of their old standards; like totally new but appreciable tracks. Loved this version of Magic Bus, as different as the Live at Leeds version as the original was to that, will probably learn to love Behind Blue Eyes which is one of the few Who tracks I prefer from the studio. Only complaint was disc 2 info was all in Japanese on the disc; all in all if that is my only complaint it must be good, if you like The Who, you'll like this; buy it.
