Who is My Neighbor? by Julie OsaretinOsayande is a book that will make readers more aware of the neighbors they haveand also the type of people they are. Most of the time, due to the busy liveswe all lead, people tend to be ignorant of who is living next door to them anddon't want to know if they are good, kind or bad. The book is about theneighbors who at times turn out to be helpful and might play a role that couldchange our lives forever. So it's important to be attentive to the peopleliving around us, be they good or bad, educated or uneducated, friendly orunfriendly.
The book gives an interesting portrayal ofcharacters who are relatable to readers. The author has given each one of themimportant and noticeable parts in the book, with an emphasis on their behaviorso that readers can connect well with them. That makes the book more cogent, and whether it is Sandy, Mrs Jim, Frank or the other characters, they do teachus a lesson. Sometimes the neighbors we think to be bad will be the ones who endup helping us during times of trouble. The theme is simple and very original, but it has a good message for readers. I enjoyed the book, not only for itsstory, but also for the subtle message it conveys. The story highlights theimportance of things we usually take for granted.
