My 9 year old son loved this book. This was one of three he read in the series. Walt Disney, Neil Armstrong and Albert Einstein. Each were great reads and he loved the information he got from the books. I enjoyed him reasing it out loud to me the second time he read it. My sons 4th grade class was assigned a biography book to read and report on. There was plenty of information as far as where they were born, how they accomplished what they each did and some sideline info on each of them that was interesting. However, the size of the words to a page and the difficulty would be more appropriate for 3rd grade not 4th.

This was a short easy book for me and I had to read a nonfiction book for school and I have to do a project on it. If you do I suggest doing a travel brochure for disneyland or a time line of his life.

My daughter had to do a written book report and oral presentation on a historical figure and when researching a biography that would work well for an eight year old; I cam across the Who Was series of books. The book was well written on the level of a younger reader and she really enjoyed reading the book. She made an excellent grade on her report but more than that she learned so much about her subject.

I bought these for my third grade classroom. They are great for the biography genre and then to use for report writing. The three years I've used them so far the kids LOVED them. Easy for their reading levels, informative, and people they have heard of in their lives. They would read their own and then read other that they had heard of. Could have left these books out 1/2 year and they would have still been reading them.

Another short but sweet biography about a very awesome man who has made many children and parents happy.
While Walt was growing up he came across as someone who would not amount to much. We should never judge a book by its cover.
I was one of those children who just couldn't wait until Mickey Mouse came on. I was around five and up.
Thank you for bringing Walt Disney alive.

it was a very interesting book. I don't normally like non-fiction books and when I heard all the books for my summer reading were non-fiction I was just about to pull all my hair out but I this book kept me wanting to read it and I finished it in 30 minutes so... yeah.

I bought this for my 7 year old daughter but I read it before I gave it to her. These series are really good and there are lots of things to learn about. My daughter also enjoyed reading.
