Review
"The most generous book in the world.... There is something quite wonderful about witnessing one human being selflessly bolster the creative achievement of another. That's precisely what illustrator extraordinaire Julia Rothman and her collaborators Jenny Volvovski and Matt Lamothe celebrate in The Who, the What, and the When- an illuminating inventory of the little-known champions behind a wide range of cultural icons. Each story is told by a different writer and illustrated by a different artist, all of astounding range and talent." - Brain Pickings
